Ho! Ho! Ho! Get into the Holiday Spirit! Join Girls’ Garage for Christmas Tree Construction - this easy craft of reclaimed wood can be customized to fit your holiday decor.

Greenwood’s Girls’ Garage is for ladies, those young and a little less young, to learn some basics about power tools, construction and confidence in conquering your own projects.

No previous experience necessary! Everything you need is included and we’ll help you craft your own unique design. Take home your own creation from the day for your home or to gift for a friend!

Space is limited for each class. No open toed shoes please!

KNITTING

Beginners to Intermediate: This class is a FUN way to learn how to knit or get back into knitting. Emphasis on developing technique and mastering the basics. Participants will learn cast on, cast off, knit and purl stitches.  Intermediate knitters are also welcome to participate to continue to develop higher level knitting skills. Participants of ALL AGES are welcome (Mamas and G-mas bring your kids)!

Dates / Details:

  • Class met on four Tuesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

  • $50 class fee includes knitting kit & materials

"Let's Make a [NATIVITY] Scene" Pottery Class

Join sculptor C.J. Coleman for this excellent 2-hour holiday pottery class. Participants will be led through the steps of creating their very own sculpted Nativity set with Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. All supplies and materials will be provided.

Class will be held the evening of November 16th from 6-8pm.


PLAY UKULELE!

The ukulele class is designed to provide a solid musical foundation in a fun, relaxed group setting with the goal of students being able to continue making music on their own. 

Students will learn how to:

  • Tune and hold ukulele

  • Strum basic chords

  • Read chord chart

  • Play simple songs

 Who: Ages 8-13

When: Tuesdays (July 7 – 28) from 3:30 – 5:00

Fine Silver Jewelry with Art Clay

Learn to create fine silver jewelry using Art Clay. Students will make a pair of earrings, pendant or ring of their own design.  Art Clay can be stamped, folded, cut or texturized for a number of creative possibilities.

Date: Saturday, December 8th

Instructor: Bill Jackson, a native of Drew, MS, attended Mississippi Delta Community College and received further training at Ringling School of Art and Design.  He is a former U.S. Army Golden Knight Skydiving Champion and an accomplished painter and photographer with his works on display at Brown’s Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, MS.
