SEWING WORKSHOPS ARE NOW FULL!

ArtPlace Workshop, Spring 2017

ArtPlace WorkShop is a FREE youth apprentice program with classes in Art, Sewing and Carpentry taught by professional artists, designers and builders. The purpose of the program is to teach entry level job skills with an emphasis on design, craftsmanship and artistic excellence.

Class attendance and participation are critical to the success of each student and the group’s work, and students will be expected to meet high standards. ArtPlace WorkShop is offered at no cost to students due to generous contributions from businesses and private donors. It costs $325 per student each semester to conduct this program, so we are grateful to our donors for investing in our youth.

Students accepted into the ArtPlace Workshop program will:
• Learn basic skills in fun hands-on classes
• Apprentice with professional artists in small classes
• Explore options for a life in art/design/construction
• Have opportunities to create and sell artwork at the ArtPlace Gallery
