ABOUT: Kids will make an ottoman style pincushion complete with tuft and a basic quilted tote sling bag. Everyone will go home at the end of the sewing workshop with confidence, inspiration, a pin cushion and one sling bag. 

WHAT TO EXPECT: Learn machine basics, how to thread the machine, wind and load the bobbin, troubleshooting, MACHINE CLEANING, brush up on MATH SKILLS with measuring and foolproof patterns. 

WHAT IS PROVIDED: New Singer heavy duty sewing machines, all sewing notions including soft cotton/wool batting, a variety of colorful threads, and stunning textiles from South Africa, Tanzania, Swaziland, Malawi, Japan, Denmark and good ole US of A. (Students may bring their own machine if in good working order.)
